I believe (with fervour!) that HR is not an ‘administrative function’ that should be seen and not heard. HR or People Teams are not here to hire and fire; to police staff; or to spew out policies that are impractical and won’t ever be read. True HR and People practices are at the very core of what makes businesses succeed. The stronger your HR and People teams, the better prepared you’ll be to face the many challenges when growing a business.
When this relates to culture, I will support you to codify what is important to your culture, and therefore your brand - especially as you scale, because I know that a strong culture encourages an environment where people – and therefore your business – will flourish, and, most importantly, drive your culture forward – and pass the baton to those still to come.
